A Message from the Sand Fest Association:

We are on the road to the third annual Sand Fest. We have gotten a lot of inquires about the event and we hope to clarify some of them. The dates are August 9,10,11, and 12, 2001. That is a Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday this year.

The ASDA will be back to do our drag races. The Albany Super cross will be back to do the Moto cross. If you want to pre register for the races you can do so on their web site at www.adminastretion@sanddrags.com or The Albany super cross at www.relmxer@exchangenet.net.

The Vendors fair is going to be located on Beach Blvd in Winchester Bay this year. There will be four blocks of fun and interesting things to buy and good food

This year we are offering three days of drag racing and one day of motocross along with the poker run. The vendors fair will be bigger than last year and we will be having Polaris there with their watercraft for you to do demos on.

If you participated in the poker run last year you know we went all out and provided you with prizes that you can only expect from SandFest. Dave and Kris Hoover have their hearts in this and do a fantastic job for us. This year we have Pete from GOT SAND involved.

Tickets will be available at the gate for $5 a day for drag raceing , $5 for the motocross and $5 for the poker run. Gates will be located at each event. Sand camping will be available close to the race tracks in the sand by special permit from Sandfest only, for 15 dollars per tow vehicle plus the gate admission Camping Information is available at the web site. There are more places to camp up and down the coast so please contact the Chamber of commerce for further information

We will answer as many emails as we have the time for so if you have questions please feel free to contact us at sandfest@aol.com
