Bounty Raised to $5,000 in 2001

Beginning August 1st at 10 AM and running until 10 AM Labor Day  - The $5,000 Crab Bounty Hunt

Every year 100 tagged crabs are released in and around the Bay during the month of August. One of those crabs is worth $5,000 to the lucky person who catches him.

Chris Harman of Cottage Grove, Oregon was the lucky winner of $3,000 in 1999.

Scott James of Reedsport, Oregon was the lucky winner of $3,000 in 2000.
